The characteristics of underwear fabrics are that they fit the body, are elastic, comfortable, easy to exercise, have good softness, good moisture absorption and air permeability, and have good anti-wrinkle performance, but the fabric is easy to detach, has poor dimensional stability, and is easy to snag and pill. Varieties include weft plain needle, mesh fabric, double rib, single rib, fleece and so on. The outerwear fabric is characterized by strong wear resistance, small shrinkage, easy washing and elasticity.

Second, according to the production process classification

1. Weft knitted fabric

Weft knitted fabrics are made of plain stitch, variable plain stitch, rib plain stitch, double rib plain stitch, jacquard, terry, etc., and are knitted on various weft knitting machines. It can use at least one yarn. It can be formed, but in order to improve production efficiency, multiple yarns are generally used for weaving.

2. Warp knitted fabric

The warp knitted fabric cannot be formed into a fabric with one yarn. It needs to be made of multiple yarns at the same time in the longitudinal order of the fabric. This is because one yarn can only form one loop. 's streaks. The warp knitted fabric has the advantages of good longitudinal dimensional stability, stiff fabric, small detachment, no curling, and good air permeability, but its lateral extension, elasticity and softness are not as good as weft knitted fabrics.

Three, according to the production material classification

1. Polyester yarn-dyed knitted fabric

Polyester yarn-dyed knitted fabric is made of dyed low-elastic polyester yarn as raw material, configured with different colors according to the design requirements, using jacquard weave, and woven into 3~6 colors or even more color patterns. Common patterns include strips, lattices, flowers, figures, animals, landscapes, geometric patterns, etc. The fabric is bright in color, beautiful in color, harmonious in color matching, dense and thick in texture, clear in texture and strong in shape, and has a style similar to woolen tweed. To be used as men's and women's tops, suits, trench coats, vests, skirts, padded jacket fabrics, children's clothing, etc.

2. Polyester knitted labor fabric

Polyester knitted labor fabric, also known as polyester knitted denim, is made of low-elastic polyester yarn as raw material, one of which is thicker dyed navy blue, and the other is thinner. In the navy blue, there are even and small natural color spots. This fabric is tight and thick, strong and wear-resistant, stiff and elastic. If the raw material is core-spun yarn containing spandex, it can be woven into elastic knitted denim with better elasticity. Mainly used for men's and women's tops and trousers.

3. Polyester knitted wick fabric

The polyester knitted wick fabric is made of low-elastic polyester yarn and is woven with a variable double rib weave. When weaving, 1~2 stitches are drawn every several longitudinal stitches, so that the cloth surface presents vertical stripes with uneven width and unevenness. The thickness of the stripes can be determined on request. This fabric has distinct bumps, feels thick and plump, and has good elasticity and warmth. Mainly used for men's and women's tops, suits, windbreakers, children's clothing and other fabrics.

4. Polyester cover cotton knitted fabric

Polyester-covered cotton knitted fabric is a double-rib composite polyester-cotton interwoven fabric. The front side of the fabric is woven with polyester yarn, the back side of the fabric is woven with cotton yarn, and the front and back sides are connected by tucks. The fabric is dyed for shirts, jackets and sportswear. This fabric is stiff, wrinkle-resistant, strong and wear-resistant, moisture-absorbing and breathable on the body side, soft and comfortable.

5. Faux fur knitted fabric

Artificial fur knitted fabrics often use cotton yarn, viscose yarn or polypropylene yarn as the base yarn, and acrylic or modacrylic as the fluff. When weaving, the fiber bundles and the ground yarn are formed into loops, and the ends of the fibers are exposed on the surface of the fabric. , After weaving, apply adhesive on the back of the fabric to set the fabric to avoid hair loss, and then go through a series of post-finishing processes such as carding, printing, and shearing to obtain artificial hair with various appearance effects. This fabric feels thick, soft and warm. Depending on the variety, it is used for coat fabrics, clothing linings, collars, hats, etc. Faux fur is also woven using the warp knitting method.

6. Velvet knitted fabric

Velvet knitted fabric is made of cotton yarn, polyester filament, nylon filament, polyester-cotton blended yarn and other raw materials as ground yarn, and cotton yarn, polyester filament or polyester textured yarn, polyester-cotton blended yarn is used as raising yarn, and terry is used. The ground yarn woven on the plush knitting machine forms the ground weave, the pile yarn forms the loop, and the loop is cut to form the fluff on the surface of the fabric, which is finished by cutting and ironing. The pile yarn can also be woven into the ground tissue according to the pad yarn, and it is formed by cutting the circle. The fabric is soft to the touch, thick and durable, with thick piles and soft shades. Mainly used as outerwear fabric, collar or hat material, etc. Swan knitted fabric is a type of plush knitted fabric. In addition to weft knitting, plush knitted fabrics can also be woven by warp knitting, for example, warp knitted loop shearling fabrics.

7. Hong Kong knitted woolen

Hong Kong knitted woolen wool is a weft knitted woolen wool made of high-grade cashmere and polyester yarn. It not only has the smooth, glutinous, soft and bulky feel of cashmere fabrics, but also has the characteristics of silk fabrics with soft luster, good drapability, no shrinkage and strong air permeability.
